IPC-Cross: International Public Cooperation-Cross

  1. IPC-projects

The programmes for International Public Cooperation (IPC) and Education (the former CROSS programmes) of NL EVD International financially support:
- projects that facilitate exchange of knowledge and best practices in all fields of government policy;
- projects that strengthen international relations between knowledge institutions.

Due to cutbacks in government expenditure, it is currently not possible to submit Matra applications. This includes the Matra Training Programme. For the time being, only G2G proposals can be taken into account. For more information on eligibility, see the web pages listed below.

Through intensive cooperation on practical matters, concrete results are realised and sustainable relations between governmental organisations and between knowledge institutions are created.
Since their inception, the different programmes have financed institutional and capacity-building projects in more than 25 countries. Originally, the various programmes focused mostly on candidates for EU-membership. Nowadays a number of neighbouring countries of the EU can also benefit (including Russia), and there are projects under the 2g@there programme (India, China) and with development assistance funds (Vietnam).

Who can apply?
Project proposals for the government programmes may be submitted by (central) governmental institutions in the eligible countries. Dutch governmental organisations can also initiate projects.

Project proposals for the educational programmes may be submitted by Dutch educational institutions. Government officials and students interested in participating in the Matra Training Programme can apply via the MTEC website.

More information:
The criteria and specific aspects of each programme can be found under programmes. By selecting a country on the list of eligible countries you will learn more about the cooperation possibilities for that country. If you have a project idea and would like to know whether it fits the criteria of our programmes, then please contact one of our project officers to discuss the possibilities.
